Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in media, journalism or a related field and demonstrated high-level experience in public relations, communications and/or journalism with a demonstrated understanding of NSW health issues.
  2. Excellent leadership, and highly developed management skills.
  3. Demonstrated high-level experience in issues management, and demonstrated highly developed and effective negotiation and delegation skills.
  4. Proven capacity to co-ordinate and motivate staff.
  5. High-level interpersonal and written communication skills including demonstrated excellent media writing skills.
  6. Proven capacity to manage multi-disciplinary groups.
  7. Proven experience in management of department workloads, and providing timely delivery of services.
  8. Demonstrated speech writing skills and experience in government and ministerial correspondence.
