An exciting opportunity exists to join the Executive Unit at Wollongong Hospital.

What you'll be doing

The prime objective of the position is to provide administrative support for the multi-disciplinary team within the Executive Unit at Wollongong Hospital. The position involves dealing with the general public and consumers of Illawarra Shoalhaven Local District, handling sensitive paperwork and providing ongoing support to the executive administration team and managers.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has bed base of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

Selection Criteria
  1. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Experience of public contact in a customer service environment and telephone reception skills.
  3. Demonstrated experience of organisational skills.
  4. Ability to use initiative and work independently.
  5. Demonstrated competency in keyboard and word processing skills using MS Word, Excel, and Windows NT.
  6. Current C Class Driver's Licence.
