$66.50 - $67.83 per hour + 11.5% super & salary packaging | Temporary Part Time 16 hours per week until 8-11-2026 | Illawarra Cancer Care Centre (ICCC) | REQ577333 | Grade: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 | Applications close: 25 June 2025

The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse will have expert knowledge regarding the spectrum of cancer care, inclusive of health assessment, treatment pathways, referrals, and on-going facilitation of clinical and supportive cancer care. The role provides leadership that facilitates the ongoing development of clinical practice that reflects the McGrath Model of Care.


The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides expert clinical advice to patients/clients, carers and other health care professionals with complex healthcare needs within Cancer Services. The CNC is a clinical expert who, through leadership, facilitates excellence in research based clinical practice, education, research and professional leadership. The CNC models the CORE (Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment) values of the organisation.

The Clinical Nurse Consultant develops, facilitates implementation and evaluates care management plans for patients/clients diagnosed with specific cancers with a focus of care coordination on patients identified with complex needs. The Clinical Nurse Consultant will also develop education and training programs, and participate in collaborative research with other health professionals in relation to Cancer Care Services.

·        Current AHPRA Registration

·        Valid NSW Drivers Licence

·        Minimum five years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least three years recent full time equivalent experience in the specialty field of Oncology, Palliative Care or Cancer Stream specific nursing or related discipline and post graduate qualifications relevant to the field of practice.
