Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. Essential Requirements: 

  1. Qualifications:  Tertiary  qualifications  in  Social Work
  2. Registration:  Eligibility for Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) membership

Selection Criteria: 

  1. Substantial experience and skills in Social Work assessment, planning and evaluating interventions for older consumers with complex mental health conditions and comorbidities.
  2. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  3. Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act 2007 and NSW Trustees and Guardian Act 2009.
  4. Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill, and significant clinical experience in in professional and clinical supervision, and support of staff.
  5. Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and/or research focused on patient/consumer outcomes.
  7. Class C Driver’s License
