About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join a large and dynamic occupational therapy department within the Acute Aged Care and Emergency Department team, under the responsibility of a Level 4 occupational therapist team leader.

This is for 12 hours a week position within weekdays and flexibility will be considered regarding working days.

What You'll be Doing
The senior occupational therapist provides clinical governance, leadership and expertise within occupational therapy services including the provision of safe, timely, compassionate and high quality person-centered care.

  

Where You'll Be Working 
Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.

The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state-of-the-art equipment and amenities.

  1. Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services within an acute setting
  3. Demonstrated experience in the identification of evidence-based practice and/or development of treatment protocols
  4. Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
  5. Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring of staff and/or students
  6. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
