We are seeking a highly skilled Project Officer to join our District Finance and Corporate Services team. The successful incumbent will spearhead various strategic initiatives and projects within our organization. As the successful incumbent, you will demonstrate strong project management experience supported with your ability to contribute improvement methods, coordinate redesign projects as program lead, and facilitate effective change management process.

This position will lead and support various Finance & Corporate Services initiatives, projects, and strategic documentation development in alignment with organizational values and objectives.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management, leading implementation of projects and/or initiatives and change management
  3. Ability to effectively engage and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally, across varying disciplines and levels, to achieve project goals.
  4. Demonstrated problem solving, conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including a proven ability to prepare project and meeting documentation, including briefs, project plans, presentations, agendas, meeting minutes etc.
  6. Demonstrated understanding, or the ability to gain an understanding, of the policy and legislative environment and the ability to effectively operate and deliver in such an environment.
  7. High level skills in conceptual and systems thinking on the successful application of innovative approaches.
  8. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
