Introducing a Unique Opportunity: Medical Settlement Concierge

Join us as a Medical Settlement Concierge where you will play an integral role in assisting senior Doctors seamlessly integrate into our local communities across Hunter New England Local Health District; in a role that is the first of its kind across our LHD.



Your Mission:

As a Medical Settlement Concierge, you’ll lead a holistic journey, assisting the individual needs and preferences of senior doctors and their families in every aspect of their relocation process, whether they are relocating interstate or internationally. Your comprehensive concierge service will support our senior doctors many of whom are International Medical Graduates who relocate, settle in, and become one of the locals, by connecting them will the right people and services to ensure their transition into the community is as easy as possible. From connecting with housing and real estate agencies, sourcing education and childcare options, facilitating social community and cultural connections, or recommending leisure and recreational activities; your role is paramount in ensuring a smooth transition and sustained tenure for senior doctors with HNE.


What Sets You Apart:

Born and bred, or otherwise settled in our rural or regional communities, you bring an innate understanding of the treasures and unique experiences of our regions and everything they have to offer. Your expert knowledge, and existing connection to our HNE communities is key to providing a tailored concierge service to meet the specific needs of each individual or family. Alternatively, you may have migrated to Australia and settled in one of our rural communities, which will have given you lived experience and are well placed to support the settlement of others.

Ideally, the successful candidate will be located within the Northern area of our LHD, including Tablelands, Mehi, Peel, or Lower Mid North Coast sectors. Travel across the District will be required, and the ideal candidate will embrace adventure and flourish in a role where no two days are alike.


Collaborative Approach:

While autonomy is key, you will also have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with other key teams across our District. Being closely aligned with our Senior Medical Recruitment Team, you will also engage with our Recruitment Marketing Team, and the Medical Directorate generally to align collective efforts and maximise impact. Through working with a diverse range of stakeholders, you will participate in a range of exciting initiatives throughout your journey as a Medical Settlement Concierge with HNELHD.


Paving the Way:

As the inaugural Medical Settlement Concierge within HNELHD, you will lead and shape the framework for our future approach across the District. Through your own navigation, innovation, and hands-on experience, you will pave the way for others to thrive in similar positions by building models and developing best-practice guidelines, ensuring tailored settlement support for senior doctors across our LHD.

Information for Applicants: 

This is a Category B position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive PD2023_022: Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases for Category B positions prior to offer. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in the policy. 

 
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (AIR Immunisation History Statement) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.  

 

Acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement (IHS), or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate, or AIR COVID-19 and Influenza IHS. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
