What you'll be doing
The Simulation Coordinator is response for identifying, consulting, collaborating and liaising with stakeholders to identify paediatric specific educational needs, which can be supported using a simulation methodology.
The Simulation Coordinator identifies opportunities and coordinates to use simulation based methodologies to develop the capabilities of the workforce to respond to current and emerging paediatric areas of healthcare.
The Simulation Coordinator identifies and coordinates opportunities to utilise simulation based methodologies to improve patient safety, decrease risk, and support quality improvement within paediatric healthcare.
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a registered nurse.
- Significant experience working within the paediatric healthcare context and relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing/midwifery or education, or working towards.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate education using simulation based methodologies.
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills including ability to manage projects and prioritise competing demands and deadlines.
- Demonstrated evidence of the development of relevant education courses or programs that incorporate the use of adult learning principles.
- Demonstrated evidence of high level communication and negotiation skills with a diverse range of stakeholders to meet organisational priorities.
- Evidence of preparation of written submissions, reports and demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint presentations and the Internet.
- Technological comprehension and willingness to work with a range of equipment including Multimedia and simulation technology.
