JMO Advanced Trainee - Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent and current general registration with the Medical Board of Australia, with a minimum of 4 (four) full year of postgraduate experience, including successful completion of Stages 1 and 2 of the RANZCP training program, with current status with the RANZCP as a Basic or Advanced Trainee and intent to obtain Fellowship of the RANZCP with a clear pathway to Fellowship.
- Demonstrate a child, adolescent and family-centred approach that is recovery-oriented and trauma- informed to deliver excellent evidence-based clinical care.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills, both verbal and written that adapts to the needs of a broad range of people, including children, adolescents, families, professional and non-professional colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, with high level conflict resolution skills in a high pressure and unpredictable environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional and educational development.
- Demonstrated high level ability to manage competing priorities to ensure the delivery and maintenance of high-quality care in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance issues and commitment to participating in quality and safety improvement activities.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2023_022. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
All NSW Health Category A workers are required to have received at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
