We have an exciting opportunity in the Clinical Audiences Communications Team for an External Communications Advisor.

Reporting into the Senior Communications Adviser for the clinical audiences team, you will be part of the team responsible for the development and coordination of communication campaigns, resources and advice targeting NSW Health clinicians and frontline health staff as well as other clinical audiences. This role works collaboratively with eHealth NSW staff and stakeholders to deliver a variety of digital and traditional communication approaches and assets aligned with eHealth NSW's brand and business priorities. This includes supporting strategic communications on the delivery of the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR). The SDPR will transform the digital systems NSW Health staff use every day to deliver care.

As an integral member of the team, you will:

  • Develop and implement communication campaigns which effectively communicate key messages to varied audiences in alignment with eHealth NSW strategic and business objectives.
  • Develop and coordinate the production of high-quality, impactful and targeted written and visual content including presentations, editorial, printed publications, video, podcast, newsletter and web content, ensuring compliance with eHealth NSW and NSW government branding and communication guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing review of eHealth NSW's overall communication strategy, framework, processes, systems and activities.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders and eHealth NSW staff to provide high quality and timely advice regarding communication campaigns, materials, risks and issues to facilitate informed decisions and deliver to expectations.
  • Partner and work closely with project and technical teams to understand, write and implement communication briefs and manage end-to-end communication deliverables. 
  • Manage communication projects and campaigns within allocated timeframes ensuring work is executed on brand, on message and in a consistent voice. 
  • Work closely with the wider Communications Services team to coordinate a holistic communications approach to ensure strategically sound, timely and cost-effective delivery of communications.

About you

The skills, knowledge and experience we are looking for in you are:

  • Proven experience in managing the development and coordination of communication campaigns in a complex or diverse service industry organisation, including tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or other relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to produce a range of written, visual and broadcast communications resources across a range of traditional and digital communication channels.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and proven record in establishing and maintaining partnerships and using them to drive results.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating communications plans, protocols and programs including excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a highly demanding work environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience communicating complex technical messages in plain English.
  • Proven experience in analytics reporting to gauge effectiveness of communications campaigns and translating/tailoring this data to present in executive level reports and other forums.
  • Demonstrated experience using a range of marketing technology systems including Electronic Direct Mail platforms as well as MS Office, MS Teams and MS SharePoint
