  1. Possess an undergraduate degree in health with significant recent clinical experience in a health care setting or equivalent work experience in complex health care settings.
  2. Working knowledge of the current principles of quality improvement and clinical governance in the context of health care with demonstrated experience in effectively leading successful quality improvement projects
  3. Demonstrated high level communication skills in interacting effectively with clinical staff, senior managers and external stakeholders and effective written communication skills, including preparation of high quality reports, correspondence and presentations
  4. Understanding of clinical processes and the importance of data integrity and its relation to patient care and commitment to professional development.
  5. Demonstrated planning, time management and organisational skills particularly in the area of managing multiple tasks and multidisciplinary issues to meet deadlines. Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines in an environment of minimal supervision
  6. Understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and how it relates to the ethical conduct of clinical research
  7. Demonstrated skills relevant to analysis of large data-sets including knowledge of statistical analysis methods
  8. Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft and other PC-based software (databases, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation).
