Clinical Psychologist - Metabolic & Weight Loss Program

1. The Clinical Psychologist is a fully registered psychologist with a master’s degree or higher in Clinical Psychology or some other recognised clinical area in psychology that the employer deems relevant to the functions of the position. The postgraduate qualifications must be of no less than two years full time duration (or part-time equivalent) and include professional clinical coursework, clinical training and supervised placement experience as core components.
2. Theoretical knowledge of metabolic and obesity syndromes and the relationship between psychological factors and these syndromes.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide psychological assessment and deliver evidence based psychological treatment.
4. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
5. Demonstrated ability to facilitate group processes, identify and manage problems in relation to group dynamics and to promote and support team-based solutions.
6. Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills.
7. Experience in providing clinical supervision to Psychologists / Clinical Psychologists and students.
8. Evidence of leading and undertaking quality activities towards improving services and outcomes.
