Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 - Opioid Treatment Program - Drug and Alcohol Service

Selection Criteria

1. Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Relevant post-registration qualification and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate.
3. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build strong professional relationships with other key stakeholders.
4. Demonstrated ability to carry out an extended role and demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision-making capabilities and leadership in the development of nursing specialty clinical practice and service delivery across co-existing mental health and substance misuse disorders.
5. Demonstrated clinical expertise within the Drug and Alcohol field, in client consultancy with the ability and willingness to work autonomously, accept responsibility and the ability to prioritise work practices.
6. Demonstrated skills in developing and conducting educational sessions and providing clinical teaching.
7. Demonstrated functional knowledge of data management principles and a high level of computer literacy.
8. Current unrestricted NSW driver's licence and the ability to work across various locations within the ISLHD boundaries.
