About this role
The Workplace Services and Facilities Manager has both strategic and operational accountabilities to ensure the compliant, efficient and effective management of Ministry managed sites, including but not limited to 1 Reserve Road St Leonards, The Zenith Chatswood and Gladesville Hospital site.
The role manages a team that is responsible for overseeing facilities repairs and maintenance, security, mail, fleet and minor fit-outs. The role responds to organisational accommodation needs to add value for business units and is responsible for monitoring and reporting on space utilisation as well as relocation and building restacks whilst ensuring compliance with legislation, regulation, codes of practice and government policy. The role is expected to work closely with building management and is responsible for ensuing continuous process improvement in accordance with best industry practice and NSW Health policies and objectives.

Selection Criteria
- Extensive experience and a record of achievement in managing workplace services (including security, building maintenance, mail, and fleet services) in a large and complex corporate office environment, including relevant qualifications or equivalent.
- Well-developed understanding of contemporary issues in the workplace and their practical implications in a corporate environment.
- Extensive experience co-ordinating relocations, restacks and fit-out projects.
- Sound verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated experience drafting complex written documents such as reports, briefs and business cases for senior management.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience maintaining and managing vendor relationships.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing the capability of a team, whilst always fostering a performance based and customer focused work culture.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and implementing systems and guidelines to address breakdowns and maintain business continuity.
