- Extensive knowledge and experience in the provision of Tuberculosis management and prevention services gained in a clinical setting within public sector or non-government environment, including relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent. This includes extensive experience in public health program development, implementation and evaluation and policy development and review.
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of communicable disease control and surveillance.
- Capacity to lead and engender enthusiasm in a multi-disciplinary team, to delegate effectively and to contribute to the success of others.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills including a demonstrated ability to: prepare, review and edit correspondence, briefings, reports, scientific papers and proposals; interact effectively with management and external stakeholders; and to deliver effective oral presentations.
- Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex information rapidly and accurately to achieve business focused solutions.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills and capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals and deliver high quality products within agreed timeframes and standards.
