What you'll be doing
 
This is an exciting, once in a career opportunity to join the new statewide workforce pool known as ‘CRU’, the Central Resource Unit (CRU).

We are looking for a Speech Pathologist to provide a high-quality speech pathology service to patients/clients and their carers to ensure optimal health outcomes. This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient assessment and intervention in a multidisciplinary setting. The speech pathologist is also responsible for undertaking designated non-clinical tasks to support service delivery including clinical supervision, quality improvement activities and administrative tasks.

Where you'll be working
 
The CRU Speech Pathologist workforce will be deployed to locations for anywhere between two and thirteen weeks to support short-term staffing needs. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of health settings when on deployment.

Selection Criteria

  • Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. To be appointed as a Level 2 Health Professional evidence must be provided of three years' clinical experience
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge, experience, and skills in a wide variety of clinical settings and caseloads
  • Current drivers’ licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW which will include overnight stays in regional/remote areas. These deployments will make up the majority of your time in the position.
