Senior Project Officer, JMO Recruitment Governance

Selection Criteria 

1. Highly developed health management, medical administration and/or human resources management skills with a thorough knowledge of medical officer recruitment processes, policy and medical rotations.
2. High level project management skills and demonstrated ability to monitor the completion of project milestones against goals with the ability to initiate amendments where necessary.
3. Advanced stakeholder management skills and demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and collaborating effectively to achieve shared goals.
4. Experience contributing to the development of governance arrangements for a state-wide (or larger) project.
5. Proven ability to work to tight deadlines when dealing with urgent and complex matters, as well as maintaining the continuity of ongoing projects.
6. Proven capacity to explore a range of possibilities and creative alternatives to contribute to systems, process and business improvements.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and presentation skills.

Things to consider when submitting application: 

• To be eligible for employment in the role you must be one of the following.  You can only be offered employment in this role for the duration that your current visa allows you to work in Australia, and you can only be offered ongoing employment if you have a permanent visa that allows you to work in Australia:

  • a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or
  • a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia
• This position is open to internal NSW Health permanent employees, or temporary employees who have been employed as part of a merit based selection process for more than 3 months. 
  • Ministry of Health staff are part of the Public Service Group and employed under Government Sector Employment Act 2013 (NSW), and are not employees of NSW Health and would not be eligible to apply for internally advertised roles.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy 
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
