Where you'll be working
You will be working with a diverse and dynamic team within Health System Support Group (HSSG) and based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, NSW 2065. HSSG is a unit of the Public Health System Support Division of the Health Administration Corporation to provide services to support the public health system in implementing Government targets and programs.
The position is within the Centre for Health Record Linkage (CHeReL). This unit is part of the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence, Population and Public Health Division, NSW Ministry of Health.

About this role
Manage the data integration processes in the priority government projects and complex research projects
- Provide quality linkage results to assist in achieving project deliverables within agreed timeframes in accordance with the privacy law and relevant data custodian approval.
- Provide expert advice, administration and technical support for clients of the NSW Health in relation to data requirements and specification, the data linkage and integration process and governance structures.

Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications with a demonstrated experience in working with data across various industries such as health, retail, and government.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, active listening, interpersonal and supervision abilities with capability of effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical personnel within and outside our business unit.
- Strong organizational skills for managing competing issues and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget with a capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach
- Experience in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on sensitive issues to achieve desired outcomes with approved capabilities to provide high level client service, advice and technical support to CHeReL clients and stakeholders.
- Extensive Experience in undertaking data pipeline development, data cleansing and data quality monitoring and ability of processing, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets efficiently.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using modern data management systems and software tools, including hand-coded SQL scripting and other programming/scripting tools like SAS, Python/R, etc. is preferred.
- High-level conceptual, evaluation and analytical skills including the ability to identify problems, analyse requirements, address and manage data quality issues.
