Selection Criteria 

  1. Demonstrated experience in real estate management in a large and complex/diverse service industry organisation, including relevant qualifications or equivalent. This includes sound knowledge and practical experience of leasing methods in property dealings and overseeing property assets.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of relevant property and contract law including experience managing commercial leasing contracts and ensuring contracts are compliant with current lease and contract legislation.
  3. Demonstrated contract and procurement management in government agency.
  4. Sound analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret information, prepare written reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
  5. Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results with a customer focused approach.
  6. Proven engagement, collaboration and negotiation skills with the capability to build, maintain and use relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  7. Proven capacity to contribute to and implement facilities efficiency and effectiveness initiatives, including the capability to plan, manage change, improve performance and project manage.
  8. Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated experience drafting complex written documents such as reports, briefs and advice for senior staff.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy 
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.


Additional information

  • This is a temporary role up to 30 June 2024. 
  • Please note the selection process will include a range of comparative assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role.
  • If you are Current NSW Health staff and are looking for opportunity of Secondment, you must have your manager’s approval prior to expressing interest.
  • The positions are open to internal NSW Health permanent employees, or temporary employees who have been employed as part of a merit based selection process for more than 3 months. 
    • Ministry of Health staff are part of the Public Service Group and employed under Government Sector Employment Act 2013 (NSW), and are not employees of NSW Health and would not be eligible to apply for internally advertised roles.
