About the role

The Project Support Officer will be responsible for supporting the NewGen Matrix Project Management Office with all Program administrative related activities including and not limited to:

  • Preparing, authoring, editing, managing and reviewing the provision of high-level communications and correspondence for approval including ministerial correspondence, Briefs, Policies, reports, submissions and notes to ensure the comprehensiveness, accuracy and timeliness of written information.
  • Working with the Senior PMO Manager, Clinical, Operational and Technical Stream Managers to manage all Program and Executive level reporting.
  • Monitoring financial reports and general ledger transactions specific to the Program to report on financial risks and issues.
  • Assisting with the monitoring and reporting of Program benefits and outcomes achieved on a monthly basis.


Health Manager level 2, starting salary from $109,857 - $129,624 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 38- hour work week.


What you will do

  • Preparing, authoring, editing, managing and reviewing the provision of high-level communications and correspondence for approval including ministerial correspondence, Briefs, Policies, reports, submissions and notes to ensure the comprehensiveness, accuracy and timeliness of written information.
  • Manage formal correspondence, general coordination and managing actions, proactively scheduling, organising and prioritising meetings and oversight of employees for the effective and efficient operation of the NewGen Matrix Program.
  • Working with the Senior PMO Manager, Clinical, Operational and Technical Stream Managers to manage all Program and Executive level reporting including reporting and managing risks and issues via Azure DevOps.
  • Monitoring financial reports and general ledger transactions specific to the Program to report on financial risks and issues including any impacts to the actuals vs forecast to the Program Leadership Team.
  • Managing procurement activities including ensuring vendor contracts are following NSW Health Procurement guidelines, on and off boarding vendor resources, creating Purchase Orders and tracking vendor expenses.


About you


We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, high level data analysis skills and experience with development of reports.
  • Well-developed analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
  • Proven capacity to develop creative and innovative solutions in order to improve productivity and effectiveness for stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise competing demands, achieve business goals within tight deadlines, perform and always work with a customer focused approach.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as communications, health management, nursing, allied health, and/or equivalent experience.
