Selection Criteria 

  1. Demonstrated experience in leading the design, implementation and commissioning of large-scale health promotion programs, using evidence, innovative technologies and methods.
  2. Superior organisational skills and extensive experience in all phases of project management from design to evaluation, and capacity to deliver high quality products within agreed timeframes.
  3. Strong conceptual and analytical skills, and ability to interpret complex information rapidly and accurately.
  4. Extensive skills and experience in providing high level policy advice and recommendations on complex issues, particularly related to healthy lifestyle behaviour change to support chronic disease prevention.
  5. Superior staff management and mentoring experience, and an ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with representatives of other government agencies, non-government organisations and community groups.
  6. High-level oral and written communication and facilitation skills and demonstrated capacity to consult and negotiate effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including superior contract and resource management skills.
  7. Knowledge and understanding of trends, developments and issues in health promotion, particularly related to the delivery of virtual support programs for chronic disease prevention.
  8. Relevant post-graduate tertiary qualifications.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy 
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
