About the role:

The IT Lead is responsible for delivering the strategic goals of the business unit that are dependent on the implementation of a new tech-abled platform for doctors, recruiters, and other key user groups. The IT Lead will support the procurement and management of the IT solution, collaborating with internal stakeholders to evaluate vendor proposals and manage vendor contracts. The role will also involve liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to articulate system requirements, ensure successful integration with other NSW Health systems, and provide oversight of the testing and final implementation of the IT solution to ensure a smooth and successful roll out.

The IT Lead will oversee all implementation plans and timelines to ensure timely project delivery, including managing risk and change requests. The IT Lead will work with the vendor to ensure appropriate documentation and training, including training for a range of system end-users to use the new platform.

Health Manager Level 5, starting salary from $166,678- $186,448 plus Super, with a 38-hour work week.

What you’ll be doing

  •  Support the procurement and evaluation of the unit’s IT solutions
  • Provide strategic and technical expert advice to leadership to support the alignment of the technology and business development
  • Provide day-to-day management of vendor contracts
  • Liaise with any external vendors and eHealth to establish and manage integrations with NSW Health systems
  • Oversee all implementation plans and timelines and manage emerging risks
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and training for all end user groups
  • Ensure appropriate data governance and cybersecurity protocols

About you:

 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT and/or significant experience in managing IT projects
  2. Experience in procurement including negotiating supplier contracts
  3. Demonstrated understanding of NSW government or public sector procurement policies and processes.
  4. Experience in managing a major IT project from concept to product delivery
