Where you'll be working
Activity Based Management (ABM) is an entity of the Health System Support Group within the Health Administration Corporation. We have a reporting line to the Deputy Secretary, Health System Strategy and Planning, NSW Ministry of Health (MOH).

The core function of ABM is supporting the NSW health system by leading development and implementation of activity based management. We do this by:
  • Costing - timely, quality clinical costing data and improved supporting systems
  • Pricing - shaping funding policy and pricing models
  • Insights - taking knowledge to the health system to inform decision making and to grow capability

We are technical advisors to the MOH on implementation of the National Health Reform Agreement and future Commonwealth funding agreements.

ABM is made up of the following teams:
  • Clinical Cost Data Collection and Standards
  • Pricing, Funding and Modelling
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Clinical Variation
  • Analytics and Insights
  • Data Acquisition and Validation
  • Corporate
  • Research and Innovation

We are looking to engage an Educator to provide training support to staff within NSW Health sites participating in the Australian Non-Admitted Care Classification costing study.

Friendly, supportive environment with the role assisting staff to capture important information that will inform development of a new non-admitted care classification.

This role is graded at Health Manager Level 2.

Provide education and training support to staff within NSW sites participating in the Australian Non-Admitted Care Classification (ANACC) costing study.

Selection Criteria
  1. Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  2. Highly skilled trainer/educator with experience working in a clinical hospital environment.
  3. High level project coordination and organisation skills.
  4. Highly developed stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to successfully communicate complex and sensitive issues to stakeholders at varying levels.
  5. Experienced presenter/facilitator able to develop and deliver high quality education and training materials.
  6. Reliable, confident and respectful team player who demonstrates perseverance and commitment in achieving outcomes to the required standard.
  7. Effective problem solver able to identify and provide practical and successful solutions in a collaborative way.
