Are you currently a NSW Government employee?
- Current NSW Health, NSW Ministry of Health and NSW Government staff, must have their manager’s approval prior to expressing interest.
- This will be an off-payroll arrangement for current Public Sector Staff, your agency can invoice NSW Health for salary expenses.
- The Operations Team works on a shift work arrangement, you will be required to amend your working conditions to accommodate shift working.

COVID 19 Vaccination requirement
Under the Public Health (COVID 19 Vaccination of Health Care Workers) Order 2021, Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination will now be required for all NSW Health staff and individuals engaged through third party providers to work with NSW Health with first vaccination required by 30 September 2021 and second vaccination by 30 November 2021 in order to continue to work for NSW Health.
If you have not yet received your COVID-19 vaccination, you need to book now:
- NSW Health vaccination clinics and participating general practices and pharmacies across the state are open for COVID-19 vaccination bookings.
- You can also book by visiting the Australian Government eligibility checker.
If you have already received your COVID-19 vaccinations (both doses):
- You are required by the Public Health Order to provide evidence of your vaccination status prior to commencing employment with NSW Health.
If you have a Medical Reason you cannot be vaccinated:
- A COVID-19 Vaccine Medical Contraindication form must be completed by a GP or Medical Practitioner.
- An exemption to the Public Health Order requirements will only be considered if you are unable, due to a medical contraindication, to be vaccinated against COVID-19. You will only be granted an exemption if you have medical contraindications to the available COVID-19 vaccines.
