Health Protection NSW (HPNSW) is looking for an experienced administrative/business support officer to join our Business Coordination Unit for a short-term opportunity of 3 months.
HPNSW works closely with NSW public health units in preventing, reducing, and controlling communicable diseases and environmental health risks, and improving health equity in NSW through targeted and long-term programs.
The Business Coordination Unit provides strategic advice and corporate governance support. The Unit coordinates central business processes across HPNSW, including finance and human resources, and provides high-level support to HPNSW meetings.
About the role:
The business support officer plays a crucial role in the smooth functioning of administrative and business operations across HPNSW. They are the backbone that allows our Business Coordination Unit and our health protection senior leaders to be proficient and organised.
The Health Manager level 1 salary ranges from $84,436 to $112,331 plus superannuation, with a 38-hour work week.
What you’ll be doing
The role:
- supports executive level HPNSW and NSW-wide meetings, taking the lead in providing secretariat support, meeting and calendar management, working alongside the Manager Business Coordination Unit and Executive Director
- works closely with other administrative support officers across HPNSW, providing cover when needed. This includes covering for the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director
- provides financial administrative support services, coordinates cross-branch administrative practices/processes and complies with records management practices
- organises and coordinates travel bookings and undertakes quality checks for eApproval requests

Are you organised, motivated and able to multi-task? Do you have demonstrated meeting management and secretariat skills? Are you great with calendar management and looking for an opportunity to shine with your MS Teams and SharePoint knowledge? Are you proficient in eApproval, Content Manager and records management practices?
