About the role:

This role will lead the Travel Administration Team within the Ministry of Health, Financial & Corporate Services Division, by ensuring the provision of quality Travel services to MOH and HSSG customers while maintaining compliance with relevant policies and procedures, as well as acting as the central point of contact and subject matter expert regarding travel related processes and issues.

 

Health Manager level 1, starting salary from $84,436 - $112,331 plus Super, with a 38-hour work week. 

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Represent MOH and HSSG as the relevant stakeholder and subject matter expert on travel meetings and forums and contribute to continuous improvement of travel policies and processes. Actively participate in and contribute to improvement projects related to travel systems and processes.
  • Provide up to date training to delegated travel arrangers within MOH and HSSG on policy compliance, processes, procedures, and use of the Online Booking Tool (OBT).
  • Act as the system administrator for the travel systems for MOH and HSSG including the Online Booking Tool, and Online Travel Request Forms
  • Provide a high standard of customer service to internal and external customers and stakeholders with travel related queries and negotiate resolution of issues in a timely manner, within policies and procedures and escalate where necessary
  • Ensure knowledge management of travel and related processes is maintained to a high standard by periodically reviewing and updating internal procedures and provide advice to travellers regarding compliance with policies.

 

About you:

 

We are seeking motivated and committed individual who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high quality transactional services in a high paced environment including administering end to end travel services, and/or support functions, with sound knowledge in reviewing transactions, undertaking reconciliations and preparing journals.
  • Sound oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation and customer service skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and stakeholder to provide information, advice and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results with a customer-focused approach.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and proven analytical skills to investigate and resolve transactional issues and to contribute to continuous improvement projects and review operational systems.
