About the role
As part of the RGSEP team, the Senior Project Officer supports the co-ordination and management of the RGSEP program. This includes leading program innovation, providing strategic program advice and partnering with Local health districts and other service providers to ensure an effective and consistent approach to local implementation to deliver results, within agreed budget and timeframes.
Health Manager level 3, starting salary from $127,150 - $144,444 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 38-hour work week.
What you will do
- Manage the implementation of the expansion of the RGSEP within agreed processes, budget and timeframes.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders from the Local health districts to support decision-making and the management of the GP trainees who are part of the single employer model.
- Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes.
- Prepare high quality written advice in the form of reports, briefs, policy, discussion papers, or circulars to inform, respond to requests, or initiate consideration of new program initiatives.
- Contribute to the evaluation and monitoring of the expansion of the Single Employer Model, to ensure the delivery of high quality, effective programs, to inform program innovation and development and build on translational evidence.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of the health system and policy priorities, or capability to quickly develop a working knowledge of the health system.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience working in a communications and stakeholder engagement team on large-scale transformation projects or in a large, diverse organisation.
- Experience supporting and developing business and communications strategies and plans across health or similar industry, including high quality written material and online content, reports, briefs and correspondence.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in project management including scheduling deliverables, planning resources and budget management.
- Highly developed analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
