Where you will be working:
As part of the Lower Hunter Sector of Hunter New England Health, Maitland Hospital provides a range of comprehensive services to our patients and their families/carers. With one of the busiest emergency departments in the state, you will play a vital part in delivering these high-quality services.


About the Role
This role will see you provide non-clinical support to complement the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient care. You will be responsible for transporting patients, couriering items, and assembling equipment set-ups. Your strong organisational skills will be essential in improving the patient experience, fostering a supportive and healing environment while ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care and assistance. You will be integral to ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care and support.

This position is fulltime: however, job share and/or part-time arrangements will be considered.


About You:
We require someone with a friendly and polite demeanor, coupled with a courteous manner and strong organisational skills.

We are looking for someone with demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, 

  • Must be able to work shifts within a 7 Day rotating roster and willingness to work across other locations within the Hunter New England Local Health
  • Fundamental computer skills
  • Eligible to drive in NSW and willingness to travel to sites across HNELHD.

 

Training and Support:
The successful applicant will be supported by senior staff, all staff are supported by Security & Wardsperson Manager, on the job training and orientation will be provided. Professional development and education is encouraged and supported. All staff undergo annual performance development reviews.
