About us:
Join a dynamic and supportive team at Manning Mental Health Service, where we provide responsive, recovery-focused care to adults and families across the Lower Mid North Coast. As part of our Care Coordination, Intake, and Acute Care Teams, you'll be helping people transition from hospital to community, offering vital services like assessment, treatment planning, medication monitoring, psychoeducation, and relapse prevention – all while working closely with psychiatrists and local supports to make a real difference.
About the role:
As a Senior Social Worker, you will provide expert clinical services to consumers with complex needs, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care. In this leadership position, you’ll play a key role in improving clinical outcomes by providing specialised consultation, participating in service development projects, and supporting continuous quality improvement across the District. You will also actively contribute to clinical research and maintain a commitment to ongoing professional development and supervision.
You’ll be responsible for guiding and mentoring junior staff and students, sharing your expertise to strengthen clinical practice across the team. Your role will also involve identifying and managing workplace risks in line with NSW Health Work Health and Safety procedures and escalating issues as needed. This is a rewarding opportunity for a driven and experienced social worker to lead with impact and help shape the future of mental health care.
About you:
We’re looking for a motivated and experienced senior leader with a strong background in mental health, who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. You’ll bring clinical expertise, leadership capability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. Your ability to contribute to service development and support your colleagues will be key, and you’ll be well-supported by a close-knit leadership group, the Manning Service Manager, and the broader Manning Mental Health team.
You will be supported with a comprehensive Mental Health Service orientation, regular in-service education, and ongoing encouragement to participate in relevant in-house and external training to further develop your skills and expertise.
