Remuneration: $36.39 - $51.09 per hour + superannuation + salary packaging

About the role:
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, as the unit experiences a high turnover of patients. The candidate should be able to work independently as well as collaborate within a team, while adapting to the frequent changes that come with the role. New employees will receive strong support from the senior leadership team, including the Nurse Unit Manager, bed managers, educators, clinical nurse specialists, and senior nursing staff, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
This role involves caring for acute medical and surgical patients in a dynamic, team-based environment. The unit aims to admit patients directly from the emergency department, focusing on suitable cases to improve patient flow and create accessible beds, thereby enhancing efficiency.
Where you’ll be working:
Manning Multipurpose Unit is a 9-bed facility, including 5 monitored beds, with a targeted length of stay of 72 hours, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for healthcare professionals. Located in Taree, the lively heart of the Manning Valley, the MPU provides a perfect base for exploring the national parks and stunning beaches of the Forster region. With a range of amenities, including accommodations, restaurants, cafes, and farmers' markets, Taree offers a vibrant community lifestyle while being close to the natural beauty of the area.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
