Join a dynamic and supportive team at Manning Mental Health Service, where we provide responsive, recovery-focused care to adults and families across the Lower Mid North Coast. As part of our team, you'll be helping people transition from hospital to community, offering vital services like assessment, treatment planning, medication monitoring, psychoeducation, and relapse prevention – all while working closely with psychiatrists and local supports to make a real difference.
What you'll be doing:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional psychologist to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients and consumers within a multidisciplinary setting. In this role, you will deliver therapy within legal, ethical, and professional standards, while continually evaluating treatment outcomes using standardised measures. You’ll also play a key role in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated and effective care.
The successful applicant will be committed to ongoing professional development, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and actively participate in clinical research and service planning. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individual outcomes while supporting the growth and quality of psychological services across the team.
About you:
We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate psychologist who brings strong clinical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will have demonstrated experience in assessment, intervention, and evaluating outcomes across a diverse range of clients, with the ability to work independently and confidently manage your caseload.
You’ll be a collaborative team player who contributes meaningfully within a multidisciplinary environment and is passionate about improving outcomes for all communities, including a commitment to culturally safe practice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with a sound understanding of contemporary psychological practice and its application in real-world settings.
Requirements:
- Hold a four year degree in psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in psychology; or a qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Hold general registration (or be eligible for same) as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia via AHPRA.
