Where you'll be working:
Based at Muswellbrook Hospital, this role is part of the Community Health Physiotherapy Team servicing the scenic Muswellbrook and Upper Hunter region. About the role:
No two days are the same in this diverse and rewarding role. You'll provide physiotherapy across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, supporting clients to remain active, independent, and well in their homes and communities. The position includes:
- Inpatients: Support discharge planning and contribute to multidisciplinary care on the ward.
- Outpatients: Deliver one-to-one therapy and home visits to meet individual client goals.
- Groups: Facilitate recovery-focused programs and health education groups.
- Outreach: Travel to rural Multi-Purpose Services to provide physiotherapy to both community clients and aged care residents.
- Professional Development: Enjoy dedicated time for learning, supervision, and tailored training based on your interests and growth goals.
You’ll work closely with your team and wider services to deliver holistic care, all while developing your own clinical skills and special interests.

You are an adaptable, confident clinician who thrives on variety and values person-centred care. You communicate clearly, work well independently, and enjoy managing your own caseload in a dynamic, rural setting. You bring a strong foundation in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and the curiosity to learn and grow. You're ready to embrace the unique challenges—and unique rewards—of regional community health.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated knowledge of musculoskeletal physiotherapy principles
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload
- Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel for outreach services
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
