About the role:
If you are looking for a diverse caseload with the opportunity to make a real impact on the community, then this role is for you! The physiotherapist at Gunnedah Community Health is a valued team member, providing Physiotherapy assessment and management to the wider community. You would be working across the lifespan and in varied clinical settings, including inpatients, outpatients, and community outreach. You will receive comprehensive support, allowing you to build unique skills and knowledge, including in orthopaedics, ED and paediatrics.
This role is a sole therapist position, but has lots of support! You would be linked with the Tamworth Hospital Physiotherapy team, Northern lead of Physiotherapy and other senior Physiotherapists across New England. There is regular supervision, ongoing education and professional development embedded and encouraged within this role.

Where you'll be working:
Gunnedah Community Health service provides a wide range of community health services in addition to inpatient services (including General Medicine, ED, orthopaedics/outpatients, Falls and Balance, Maternity, pulmonary rehabilitation). Our multidisciplinary team is supportive and highly skilled, with the team working together to provide high quality, patient-centred healthcare.

About you:
- Committed to servicing the community and develop a greater understanding of rural healthcare.
- A team player able to work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver excellent, patient-centred care.
- Embrace evidence based practice, being adaptability and flexibility to new clinical experiences.
- Have a desire to upskill in different clinical areas, with an interest in generalist physiotherapy. Experience in orthopaedic physiotherapy is desirable.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to undertaking projects and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
- Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
Additional Information:
- To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
