About the Role

Greater Newcastle and Lower Hunter Integrated Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to provide leadership at the East Maitland Community Health Centre. This pivotal role is essential to ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe patient care within a dynamic and community-focused healthcare setting.

As the Nurse Manager, you will serve as the primary link between senior managers and frontline staff, ensuring clear and effective communication across the organisational hierarchy. You will oversee daily operations, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, and work in partnership with other Nurse Managers, Nurse Unit Managers, and the Director of Nursing to drive service excellence.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about nursing leadership, able to build strong relationships, and is motivated to inspire and lead a high-performing team that makes a lasting impact on the community, staff, and consumers.

What You’ll Do 
  • Lead, direct, and coordinate client care to ensure high-quality and safe service delivery. 

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the East Maitland Community Health Centre, ensuring optimal resource utilisation. 

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture focused on excellence, quality, and innovation. 

  • Drive continual quality improvement initiatives and maintain high nursing standards. 

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient outcomes and staff engagement. 

  • Manage operational and business functions, including workforce planning and budget oversight. 

  • Act as an advocate for both staff and consumers, ensuring that client-centered care remains a core focus.
