About the Position
As the Manager HR Business Partnering, you will be a senior member of the People & Culture team, partnering with General Managers, Directors, and service leaders to deliver high-quality strategic and operational HR support across a dynamic and diverse portfolio. This is a varied, hands-on role with opportunities to influence meaningful outcomes at every level of the organisation.
This is a true generalist leadership position, your work will span a broad mix of responsibilities, such as:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing high-level guidance on people-related matters including performance management, misconduct, organisational change, succession planning, workplace culture, engagement, and diversity strategies.
- Apply deep knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, policy, and precedent to support complex workforce matters and mitigate risk exposure.
- Lead complex workplace investigations and change processes, applying sound methodology, clear documentation, and strong insight on human behaviour. You’ll also coach and mentor your team members to build capability in investigations and case management.
- Prepare effective reports and provide strategic advice based on data analysis and workforce metrics to assist leaders in meeting their performance objectives.
- Represent the organisation in industrial relations matters and disputes, advocating on behalf of the service and ensuring compliance with statutory and policy frameworks.
Partner with leaders to drive organisational change—supporting the behavioural, process and systems elements of transformation and workforce adaptation. This role offers a genuine opportunity to be both strategic and hands-on managing complex matters while actively shaping a positive workplace culture across one of the largest and most diverse health districts in Australia. Based primarily onsite, you'll also have the opportunity to travel and connect with health services and staff across regional, rural and metro settings helping to support, uplift and influence HR practices on the ground.
About You
You’re an experienced HR professional who enjoys working across complex organisations and contributing to impactful, meaningful work. You are confident in interpreting industrial instruments and navigating sensitive workforce matters, and you approach issues with empathy, professionalism, and strong ethical principles.
You will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or Business
- Demonstrated experience in HR business partnering, ideally with senior and executive leadership teams
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- A passion for developing others and building collaborative relationships
- Confidence in handling complex employee relations matters and providing strategic advice
- A current driver’s licence and ability to travel across our services
