About the role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated Engineering Compliance Officer to join the Facilities Management Unit within the Infrastructure, Planning and Sustainability Directorate, based at James Fletcher Hospital in Newcastle.

In this pivotal role, you will play an integral part in the design, implementation, and management of an engineering and maintenance compliance system, ensuring risks are identified and managed across the District. You’ll conduct desktop assessments, monitor contracts, undertake on-site audits, engage with stakeholders, gather evidence, and provide clear, timely, and compliant reports.

What you’ll bring:

  • A strong understanding of facilities maintenance, asset management, and building principles/standards
  • Technical expertise in plant and building services maintenance
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel as needed across the District


Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience within the health sector will be highly regarded
