Where You’ll Be Working

This new exciting role would be to cover and assist administrative staff who support our Staff Specialist Medical Officers within our speciality areas from unexpected/planned leave, increased workloads etc.

Manning Hospital in Taree is a key healthcare provider for the Mid North Coast region, offering a comprehensive range of medical services. As part of its redevelopment, the hospital has enhanced its cancer care, renal dialysis, and medical imaging services, including the installation of its first MRI machine. Facilities also include a Critical Care Unit, chemotherapy, X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT scans, ultrasound, inpatient units, and expanded consultation spaces.

What You’ll Be Doing

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Officer (Level 3) to provide essential support to Staff Specialists across multiple specialist departments, including Renal, Palliative Care, Paediatrics, Oncology, Haematology, and Medical Administration. In this role, you will:

  • Provide leave relief for administrative staff within specialist departments.
  • Deliver high-quality secretarial and administrative support, including scheduling, managing correspondence, and handling patient inquiries.
  • Assist with revenue checking, rostering, and general office management.
  • Work closely with Nurse Unit Managers and medical teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
