About the role:
The Community Health Clinical Nurse Educator will build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders to address clinical and operational needs. This includes participating in relevant meetings, implementing tools for continuous improvement, and following the 90-day plan. The role also involves attending monthly accountability meetings, promoting workplace behaviours in line with the HNE Health Values Charter and the NSW Health Code of Conduct, and ensuring patient care aligns with the Excellence Framework. The educator will also support cultural respect and contribute to HNE Health’s Closing the Gap strategy.

Additionally, the educator will coordinate education for a diverse group of learners, maintain clinical expertise, and provide support to clinicians. Managing quality improvement efforts while balancing competing priorities and limited resources requires attention to project timelines. The role aims to foster a professional culture that supports sustained service improvement.


Where you’ll be working:
Narrabri is situated around 520 km northwest of Sydney and 570 km southwest of Brisbane. As the hub of a significant cotton farming region, the town is surrounded by attractions such as Mount Kaputar National Park, Paul Wild Observatory, Narrabri Lake, the Crossing Theatre, and Pilliga Forest. Nestled in the heart of the Namoi Valley, Narrabri offers visitors the chance to explore the natural beauty of Mount Kaputar and the Pilliga Forest, while also immersing themselves in the rich history and culture of the Gamilaroi people, who have inhabited the area for thousands of years. Enjoy the picturesque Yarrie Lake, where you can swim, fish, and boat, and experience the rural charm of the Narrabri and Wee Waa Shows, which showcase farm animals, local crafts, and entertainment. Requirements:

Our successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA plus relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications and clinical experience.
  • Credentialed in Triage and ALS (or willingness to learn), as well as being a credentialed DETECT and DETECT junior trainer (or willingness to learn).
