The Diabetes Alliance Program Plus (DAP+) is a dedicated initiative aimed at enhancing health outcomes and patient care experiences for individuals with diabetes, all within the convenience of their general practice setting. DAP+ provides a variety of flexible and innovative services, including in-person and virtual case conferencing, diabetes and endocrine advice line, education events and conferences, and mobile Medibus.
The Administration Officer role is based at Wisteria House on the James Fletcher Campus in Newcastle. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will work alongside healthcare professionals such as: Endocrinologist, Diabetes Educators, Aboriginal Health Worker, Podiatrist, Dietician and other Administration Officers.

About the role:
DAP+ is seeking a capable and experienced Administration Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support for its operations. This role will involve coordination and management of administrative tasks for various aspects of the program, including face-to-face and virtual clinics, education events, and Medibus services.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with DAP+ managers and a fellow administration officer to ensure seamless delivery of program activities.
- Liaise effectively with general practitioners, allied health professionals, and community members to support program goals.
- Supporting virtual case conference clinics and general practice and onboarding patients from the program waitlist.
- Manage scheduling, documentation, and communication for events and clinical sessions.
- Provide logistical support for educational initiatives and Medibus-related activities.
The successful applicant will be supported within the administration team and report directly to the program Implementation Manager. Ongoing learning and training opportunities are provided, including access and learning modules offered within the Hunter New England My Health Learning platform and HETI.
The successful applicant will be:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong multitasking abilities.
- Experienced in administrative roles, preferably in healthcare or community service settings.
- An excellent communicator, adept at engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Skilled in using office software and systems to manage program operations efficiently.
