About the role:
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Administration Manager to lead and support a team of approximately 100 administration professionals across Medical & Interventional Services (M&IS) at John Hunter Hospital and surrounding sites.
This is your opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a high-performing and collaborative executive team, working closely with the Service Manager, Deputy Director of Nursing, Medical Director, and Finance Manager.
As the Administration Manager, you’ll:
- Oversee clinical and non-clinical administrative support functions
- Lead a large, diverse administrative workforce
- Drive team engagement through Leader Rounding
- Collaborate with other administrative services within JHH including Surgical, Critical Care, Maternity, Outpatients, and JHCH
- Play a vital role in maintaining a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture

- Proven experience in managing complex administrative teams
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- A collaborative, proactive, and approachable management style
You’ll receive full orientation and training and ongoing mentoring from the Service Manager and M&IS Executive Team.
