About the Role:
This position plays a key role in supporting the effective coordination of school-based training programs across our health services, with a strong focus on fostering culturally safety and inclusive learning environments for all students. You’ll work closely with the Aboriginal trainees, schools, and internal teams to ensure students are well-supported throughout their learning journey.

Your days will involve:

  • Establishing strong relationships with the Trainees by building trust, and being a supportive and encouraging role model
  • Building strong working relationships with parents/caregivers, supervisors, community members and education partners to ensure trainees can be successful throughout their traineeship
  • Providing general administrative support to the program
  • Supporting student engagement and welfare throughout their traineeship
  • Support the development of partnerships across the district to increase the sites availability to host SBATs

While the location is flexible, regular travel across HNELHD will be required.

  • A natural communicator who can build trust and rapport with young people and colleagues alike, empathetic and calming demeanour
  • Passionate about supporting Aboriginal Trainees in their career progression

  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and willing to learn
