About the role:
As a Registered Nurse on Ward J3, you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional pre- and post-operative care to a diverse range of surgical patients, with a focus on upper gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Comprehensive Patient Care – Assess, plan, and implement care tailored to each patient’s surgical journey, ensuring optimal recovery.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration – Work closely with surgeons, allied health professionals, and clinical educators to provide holistic, patient-centred care.
- Clinical Skill Development – Enhance your expertise in surgical nursing, including wound management, pain control, and early detection of complications.
- Patient and Family Engagement – Communicate effectively to support, educate, and empower patients and their families throughout their hospital stay.
- Team-Oriented Environment – Contribute to a fast-paced, supportive ward where communication, flexibility, and resilience are key to success.
