About the Role

The position is required to utilise various NSW Health Clinical Systems and Drug and Alcohol systems. It also requires the provision of various treatment options as prescribed for each client who is with the service. There is a roster of various tasks that rotates so the opportunity present itself for a someone who is interested in the position. The position also requires nurse reviews, medical clinics, and pharmacy contacts. Some of these contacts will be by phone and some but most will be face to face.


Where you'll be working
The successful applicant with be working in the Drug and Alcohol pharmacotherapy unit in Taree and Forster will be a registered nurse providing opiate dependence Treatment to clients of the service. It is small team close knit team of professionals that work well together.

About You
You will need to be focused, observant, good teamwork with good computer skills. You will need to be non-judgemental, with good communication skills and good boundaries.  Some good humour is also a plus. Computer systems can be learned and the processes in the clinics can also be learned.

  • An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies.
  • To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
