  • A collaborative regional network including the Service Manager for New England North West, fellow HSMs, Nurse Practitioner, VMOs, and administrative support staff.

About the role 

As HSM, you’ll take the lead in driving high-quality, patient-centred care within the Warialda MPS. Your role is both strategic and hands-on, balancing operational excellence with strong, values-driven leadership.
You will:

  • Use evidence-based clinical practice and lead multidisciplinary teams.

  • Build strong relationships across local and regional services to support integrated care.

  • Use data and research to identify and implement service improvements.

  • Manage performance, workforce development, and resource allocation.

  • Act as a key link between frontline staff and senior managers, ensuring open, two-way communication.

  • Foster a workplace culture built on respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


About you 
We’re looking for a dynamic leader ready to step into a high-impact role. You’ll bring:

  • Proven leadership experience in healthcare, with a track record of driving service excellence.

  • Advanced clinical skills and strong knowledge of primary and community health.

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to think long-term and deliver sustainable outcomes.

  • Passion for regional health and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of local communities.

  • Registered Nurse with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications in clinical leadership or management; or willingness to undertake same.
