About the role:
Belmont District Hospital is excited to advertise for their Deputy Director of Nursing (DDON) position. The DDON supports the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing nursing services across the facility, focusing on operational efficiency, staff management and making sure quality and safety standards are being adhered to. On any given day, you will be conducting bed management across the hospital, ensuring staffing needs are met, building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and working hand-in-hand with external facilities and other governing bodies to ensure that the operation of the hospital is to the highest standard.

You won’t be working alone. You’ll be support by the DON and the other members of the Executive Leadership Team at Belmont Hospital. A thorough orientation will be provided, you will have access to education pathways and there will be opportunities for you to attend conferences on behalf of Belmont District Hospital. Monthly Accountability Meetings will be able to support your growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA

  • This position is full time; however, part time arrangements will be considered.
  • An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part-time vacancies.
  • To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia.
