The opportunity

Health Infrastructure (HI) is seeking four experienced Project Directors to lead critical hospital projects across NSW. You’ll oversee all aspects of project delivery, from planning and stakeholder engagement to procurement, construction, and handover. Working closely with the NSW Ministry of Health and Local Health Districts, you’ll ensure seamless execution, managing multiple workstreams to deliver high-quality healthcare infrastructure on time and within budget.

The roles are across a variety of NSW Health Projects including:

·       Nepean Hospital Redevelopment – The Nepean Hospital Redevelopment is currently under construction with various stages of works in progress to include Stage 2, Children and Adolescents Mental Health Services (CAMHS), World Class End of Life Palliative Care beds and Community Health services. This role will be based predominantly onsite in Nepean with some time at head office at St Leonards.  Initially the role will focus on the delivery of the CAMHS project and transition onto other stages of the redevelopment.

·       Eurobodalla Regional Hospital and Batemans Bay Community Health – The Eurobodalla Regional Hospital is currently under construction.  The project is based in Moruya and includes the construction of a new hospital including Emergency Department, Inpatient units, Maternity, Paediatrics, Short stay unit and medical imaging.  The Batemans Bay Community Health facility will be moving into the construction phase in the coming months and includes construction of a new community health facility on the existing Batemans Bay Hospital campus.  This role could be based regionally or in Sydney and will require travel to the project sites with possible overnight stays as required.

·       Westmead Children’s Hospital - Paediatric Palliative Care – integrated into the final phase of Children's Hospital Westmead Stage 2, the Paediatric Palliative Care is high profile specialist service new to the Westmead Precinct. This role covers the planning , procurement and delivery of this project and will include some other refurbishment works to the existing Children's Hospital. This role will be based predominantly onsite at Westmead with some time at head office at St Leonards.

·       Health Grade Enterprise Network (HGEN) Cabling Project – The HGEN Cabling and Communications Remediation Program is a collaboration between eHealth and HI. The partnership ensures across NSW Health that all hospitals and health services have all Floor, building and/or Campus Distribution Rooms meet Australian Standards and the requirements of eHealth and the broader NSW Health System. This role could be based regionally or in Sydney and will require some travel to projects sites with possible overnight stays.

All four roles are full time, fixed term roles for a period of four years.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicants must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.
