- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and/or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
- Experience as a GP Proceduralist/rural generalist with related experience in rural community general practice and hospital services.
- Demonstrated high level leadership skills and ability to provide strategic-level policy advice and coordination of medical workforce projects/programs.
- Proven ability to impact meaningfully on medical training outcomes, including advocacy for junior staff, and management of difficult issues.
- Demonstrated experience in engage with multiple stakeholders in order to achieve outcomes, particularly in regards to medical workforce planning and training.
- Understanding of the NSW Health system as a training environment, and demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes and resolve difficulties within this structure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, with demonstrated ability to motivate and persuade others.
