  1. Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and/or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
  2. Experience as a GP Proceduralist/rural generalist with related experience in rural community general practice and hospital services.
  3. Demonstrated high level leadership skills and ability to provide strategic-level policy advice and coordination of medical workforce projects/programs.
  4. Proven ability to impact meaningfully on medical training outcomes, including advocacy for junior staff, and management of difficult issues.
  5. Demonstrated experience in engage with multiple stakeholders in order to achieve outcomes, particularly in regards to medical workforce planning and training.
  6. Understanding of the NSW Health system as a training environment, and demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes and resolve difficulties within this structure.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, with demonstrated ability to motivate and persuade others.
