Pre-employment vaccination and health assessment (PEVHA)
 

This is a NSW Health Category A position. All Category A candidates must read, understand and agree to comply with Policy Directive PD2011_005 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Diseases. Prior to appointment, all preferred candidates must provide evidence of protection against specified diseases, with any related medical practitioner costs being covered by the applicant.

 

Preferred candidates must also participate in a Pre-Employment Health Assessment (physical assessment) prior to appointment, with costs covered by HealthShare NSW 

 

This position will require a valid Working with Children Check for paid work

Successful candidates must be available and committed to attend a 2.5 week full-time induction program. Dates relevant to the recruitment induction program will be made available by Patient Transport Service.

  1. I have authority to be in possession of, prescribe, supply, dispense and/or administer Schedule 4 and/or Schedule 8 substances under the provisions of the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods legislation
  2. Do you have any restrictions on your authority to be in possession of, prescribe, supply, dispense and/or administer Schedule 4 and/ or Schedule 8 substances under the provisions of the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods legislation?
  3. Post graduate clinical experience in an acute setting or other relevant experience with a demonstrated commitment to professional development, including adult and paediatric life support skills and administration as well as cardiac monitoring and basic cardiac rhythm interpretation
  4. This role requires you to work autonomously within a vehicle or health facility. Please provide an example where you were required to make clinical decisions on your own and without supervision. What strategies did you implement to provide high quality patient care and what was the outcome?
  5. What does team work mean to you? Describe a time where you were required to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to a positive and constructive culture. (Word limit: 250 words)
