The opportunity

The Cook is responsible for leading the kitchen in the preparation and cooking of patient meals.

You will be responsible for leading the team and taking responsibility for the operation of the kitchen which includes covering staff, running shifts, ordering, stocktake & maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

You will need to be able to motivate, and encourage staff, while being responsible for meeting KPIs. You will have great time management and organisational skills along with experience leading in a commercial kitchen environment.

This position will be on a 7 day rotating roster (AM & PM shifts).

Vaccination Requirements

This is a NSW Health Category A position, which requires immunisation against the following:

  • Whooping Cough
  • Hepatitis B
  • Measles / Mumps / Rubella
  • Chicken Pox
  • Screening for Tuberculosis

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliance

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (3 doses for Category A roles, 2 doses for Category B roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

 

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available. The Staff Health Team will access your AIR record if needed, please advise if you prefer the team not to view your vaccination record.
