How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:

  1. Current Registered Nurse Division 1 National Registration (AHPRA) with a minimum of 3 years post registration clinical experience working with children and young people, a post registration qualification related to the specialty area of child and family health, or paediatrics, or adolescent / youth health nursing practice, Primary Health Care (child and family health) or other related area or willing to obtain qualifications within six months.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of and experience working with children and young people, including marginalised and at-risk groups, and health promotion, prevention and early intervention approaches and evidence based practice.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of primary health care practice, specifically within rural and remote Australian context.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work within an interagency context, with an emphasis on relationship building, service delivery, quality of care and team cohesion, referrals and an ability to identify and improve opportunities to enhance integration of care for children, young people and families.
  5. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including advanced verbal and written skills; an ability to negotiate and problem solve; and the capacity to collaborate with and influence health and other professionals.
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise electronic communication and medical record systems across a variety of applications, including eHealth technologies.
  7. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the provision and development of clinical practice by utilisation of evidence based research with a demonstrated understanding of current NSW Ministry of Health Policies and National and State Standards in relation to children and young people.
  8. Current NSW State driver's licence (including P1 or above) and willingness to use for work purposes.
